The Dates for the DECEMBER 2019 Pixelmania meet will be from Wednesday December 4th to Sunday December 8th. 2019 at Walt Disney World. Disney is opening resort room reservations (Packages and room only reservations) at the end July 2018 for our Pixelmania dates. It is expected that Star Wars Land will be operation sometime in late fall 2019. This opening event has the possibility of overlapping with Pixelmania. The possibility exists that it will be difficult to make reservations at Walt Disney World resorts so the planning board thought it prudent to release the dates of the 2019 Pixelmania meet to assist with your planning. If you are interested in attending the 2019 Pixelmania meet and you are planning on staying at a Walt Disney World resort it is recommended that you make reservations promptly. DVC members may want to book a room only reservation at a resort and then release it once their DVC reservation is secured.
Nice to know ahead of time...I will probably just risk waiting for the DVC window to open and hope to score something at Boardwalk/home resort again as I did last time, right at midnight on the 11 month window. I don't even want to try to imagine having an official Pixelmania meet at Star Wars Land if open - it's hard enough getting everyone together and having enough room - even Avatarland was a tight squeeze, but wouldn't compare to a newly opened Star Wars land!
I am booked at Pop from Dec 4-11, that is until I get my conferences dates, then I’ll chop off either the first two or last two days. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I've booked a tower bed at Pop for Dec. 3-10. (Maybe I can stack all those extra pillows up and use them as a ladder to climb into the bed.)
OMG ROTFLMAO!!! Dennis is 4'3'' tall and he has a hard time climbing up on the "new" beds at Plop Century. I keep telling him that he should get a step ladder but he is to stubborn and pride full. He also hasn't figured out to stack his suit cases like steps so he can reach the bed successfully. ~Joanie
The NBA player / farmer who redesigned the Pop rooms raised the beds high enough to store luggage under, resulting in a pillow-covered nightmare that's almost waist-high to a normal person. Nothing like a family-friendly resort where kids falling out of bed can reach terminal velocity before hitting the floor. The farm theme is stated by the barn door leading to the bathroom and the faux-wood floors that are just as clean as a barn floor. But, for now, I still prefer Pop to the All-Stars. A t least until they jack up the prices to pay for the Skyway and I have to move to the monster value-priced resort that Universal is planning.
The end has come for Illuminations. This was just announced. This year's pixelmania appears to be the last one we will be able to photograph this show. https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...earth-as-part-of-the-transformation-of-epcot/ Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Still waiting for the DVC window to open tomorrow at midnight to try to book at Boardwalk starting 12/4/19, where I hope to get again.
Yes, chop that up and stay until the 11th! That’s when I head home. I won’t arrive until later Friday night. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
See you in the bar then... I’ll be there from 11/28 to (hopefully) 12/12... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I started booking on the 24th to walk in my reservation. Though I found out they have a huge glitch in the system. First, if your reservation falls over two use years (as mine does) you cannot modify your stay online. Second, they disregard actual days and go with a 30 day month (so 11 months out from 11/28 is 12/28). However, since there are more 31 day months than 30 day months, there’s a day where you cannot extend your stay and you have to wait another day before continuing on. The problem was that this day happened to fall on 12/31. Add to that, the fact that dvc was closed on 1/1 and now I had to wait 2 days to start extending again. It made my head hurt. Don't forget to check in on the official "Who's Coming" thread. My dates might change depending on what's available for Merrie's earned stay this year.
