Two organizational orders of business need our attention for Pixelmania this year, principally because things are so crazy on Disney’s end. Normally we would have all made fast passes by now including ones that we made to ride together as a Pixelmania group. We would have also had a better idea of a schedule and we would have been able to sketch out a tentative schedule that we could all sort of intersect with as needed. Since things are missing, (the ability to pre-plan fast pass, and entertainment, etc., that is being added as we speak) we need better ways to coordinate together. We plan on doing this in two ways and participation is optional. THE FIRST WAY IS TO ADD EACH OTHER TO DISNEY’S FAMILY and FRIENDS list on the Disney app. To add people that aren’t already in your F&F list go to the bottom of the Friends and family list and Click on the (+ Add a Guest ) button and follow the directions. You will need the email address of the guest AND their birthdate OR their resort reservation number. Disney then sends them an email to see if they would like to accept your invitation to join the Friends and Family list. We are doing this because we are thinking that if Disney’s My Genie is online, we could use that to make ride reservations together. I’ll be sending a Private IN BOX message thread on the WDW360 boards for people to post this information privately. DO NOT WAIT to add people to your F&F list once you have the info. Disney’s apps are glitchy and you’ll need time to get past the tech failures that are bound to happen. THE SECOND THING WE ARE DOING IS ADDING LOCATION SHARING ON YOUR Phone in the GOOGLE MAPS APP. For that YOU will need the person’s name and phone number (Found in a Private IN BOX message thread on the WDW360 boards). Doing that will allow us to see exactly where participants are in real time, making it easier to find each other. Participation is optional and you can easily turn this off after Pixelmania. We will still be using Group Me’s chat app but finding each other in the chaos that is Disney parks will be easier using Google’s location sharing app and it won’t require a response from someone who must constantly monitor their phone. To do this download Google Maps on your phone. And follow the instructions in the attached images at the end of this post. So that is the plan. Participation is optional and we are thinking that this will make things easier during a difficult, disorganized Disney planning year. ~ Joanie Image 1 is the first image you see when you open the Google Maps app. The things circled in red are the areas you need to open on the app. You must add the person's phone number to your phone book before you try to add them in Google's location sharing.

I don’t think you need birthdate or reservation number (BD is optional once you say the person is 18+). I just sent Dennis a link request and only used his email address. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Ok, when I was going through the steps it asked for mine but I see know the birthday part is just for over/under 18. Joanie
I'm filing this here. "Disney has released the specifics regarding the process of joining the virtual queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. If you’ll be headed to EPCOT to ride the new attraction once it opens on October `1st, be sure to take a few minutes to review the instructions below. Here are the details straight from Disney: Guests with a valid ticket or pass and theme park reservation who will start their day at EPCOT can access the virtual queue system via the My Disney Experience app and check for an available boarding group starting at 7 a.m. on the day of their park reservation. This can be done before Guests arrive at the theme park. If Guests are unable to join the morning virtual queue opportunity, they may check for an available boarding group starting at 1 p.m. after they have entered the park. Keep in mind, Guests must be at EPCOT to access this second virtual queue opportunity, and access to a boarding group is subject to availability and not guaranteed. Tips for getting into the virtual queue By the day prior to their visit, Guests should make sure to have done the following: Have an account in My Disney Experience Download the My Disney Experience mobile app on their smart device or ensure they have the most updated version of the app before arriving at the park Link their tickets to their My Disney Experience account Have a valid Disney Park Pass reservation for EPCOT for the day Virtual queue is only accessible via the My Disney Experience mobile app. Please keep in mind, only one Guest per traveling party should attempt to enroll in virtual queue. Multiple Guests and devices attempting to enroll the same party could complicate securing a boarding group. As a reminder, in order to be eligible for the 1 p.m. virtual queue enrollment, all Guests in a party must already be inside EPCOT." https://www.wdwinfo.com/walt-disney...eue-for-remys-ratatouille-adventure-released/
People have not turned it on yet so that you can see where they are. Also It could be your phone or your location and I can't help you with those two things.
If it’s still not working that first day, I can take a quick look to see if I can get it to work. But if all else fails, we will still have the GroupMe App for messaging that should help (to an extent) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
