2025 PIXELMANIA 10/15 TO 10/19

Edited to remove incorrect info: SNIP

I'm guessing, but I'm imagining that that will still be in effect during the crowded October month that Pixelmania is happening in.

Like Red said, the Starlight parade will also start on the main Street Town square and proceed to frontierland to facilitate exiting from the park. That sucks for the flagpole photo spot

I don't know how Liberty Square is lit now, but it has been pretty dark in the past. That could be a plus or a minus, depending on the lighting on the performers. In Disneyland's Paint the Night parade, many of the performers have lights on their head which illuminates their face (but probably makes it hard to see where they're walking).

A Fairy's Kiss

I would add the other three corners of Town Square as potential sites, since they are a looking up a short street. I would favor the corner to the east of the railroad station. The Point and the area to the left is probably no good since the performers are facing away from you as they turn towards Main Street.

In the past I shot MSEP in Town Square from both sides of the street near the firehouse, and looking in the direction of the arrow is a better angle as you can see the parade as it comes toward you and then turns into the Square.

I'm thinking that looking south from the Partners statue towards Main Street might be the best spot.

The second spot would be what Dennis was talking about which was on main Street looking towards City Hall and guest relations as the parade comes out around the corner and passes the Train Station.

It's too bad they don't let people up on the train station balcony anymore. That was a really fun spot to photograph parades from.

Also note that annual pass holders must have a reservation to enter Magic Kingdom on any day. There is no more park hopping at the Magic Kingdom for AP passes with the debut of the Starlight parade.

Where did you see that there is no more park hopping to MK due to Starlight?

Bricker's site says: Note that this rule change has no impact on Park Hopping. Annual Passholders with a reservation for EPCOT, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom will still be able to park hop to Magic Kingdom after visiting their first park. As always, subject to park capacity.

He also mentions: If you want to see the debut of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, you’ll absolutely want a Magic Kingdom park reservation on that date. If it’s already too late when you’re reading this, make a reservation for one of the other three parks as a fail-safe.

You are correct. I misunderstood the original text.
Here is the quote:

Magic Kingdom Park Reservation Rule Change

Due to anticipated high demand, for a limited time upon the opening of this new parade on July 20, 2025, Annual Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom at any time of day (including after 2:00 PM) must have a theme park reservation. Passholders will continue to be able to enter EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park after 2:00 PM without a theme park reservation.

Before July 20, 2025, Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a good-to-go day or after 2:00 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park). Theme park reservations are limited and subject to availability, and reservation requirements are subject to change. Applicable blockout dates apply.

Note that this rule change has no impact on Park Hopping. Annual Passholders with a reservation for EPCOT, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom will still be able to park hop to Magic Kingdom after visiting their first park. As always, subject to park capacity (more on that below)
