Had some fun with my 20mm f2.8 AF-D which is quite wide on full frame. I also thought the onboard flash did a good job covering it as well- kind of glad it is there despite some of the criticism Nikon has taken over it.
The pop-up flash is great for those times that you don't want to carry a 800 or the point-of-center-gravity changing 900 with you (can't speak for the 400, don't have it). Did that at the beach this weekend. Plus the fact that you don't need the Su-800 to command wireless flashes either.... Nice shot Jeff!
Jeff, your pic there is making me think about getting one. I remember "the good ole days" with my A2E (EOS 5 Modified) and the 20/2.8. And the fact that the cost is only 1/3 of the 14-24.....
I picked it up on the Nikon Cafe For Sale section for $325 shipped- like brand new in the box and he even tossed in a Nikon UV Filter- so closer to somewhere between 1/4 and 1/5 the price of the 14-24...
Don't make me break out some of my rear curtain sync flash shots from that ride on you guys. (Too late)
dude, cool pics but that makes me want to hurl. i cannot ride the teacups or anything that spins rapidly. primeval whirl gets me queasy from time to time.
I'm also in the no-whirly-ride club. Nothing like wanting to throw up the rest of the day. I did that with the stomach bug in June. Not going to self induce that lovely sensation
