Very nice work on that first one, Harry - love the shallow DOF use there on Alice, with the focus on the child - it definitely puts you in his shoes. ; I was a little shy when I was a kid to go up to some of the characters too - back in the days when they didn't do autographs, but you just had to go stand and pose for the Instamatic snapshot for the family album.
Thanks, buti have to tell y'all that's my youngest daughter. I'll have to tell my wife no more blue shirts.
Hey Roger, the shot of my daughter is the Sigma 17-50 f2.8. The second of the Speedway is the Rokinon 8mm fisheye. Both are shot with the Nex 7 which simply amazes me every time I use it. It seems to retain so much more detail than my D5100.
A few shots To change the subject of the thread for just one post... Did you use any of the previous versions of the NEX Series or just the 7? ; I am 99% set on the NEX-7 for my next rig (and looking to buy in June). Now, back to the photos... And love that depth of field in your daughter's photo. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I actually had the 5N for a little while. I liked the 5N, but the Nex 7 is a whole different camera. The Tri-Navi controls are just awesome. The body of the Nex 7 feels great, no plastic here. The only thing I really want is IBIS. I'm actually thinking of selling my Laea2 adapter and Alpha mount lenses to purchase the new Pentax K30. The one thing about the Nex line is that it makes you fall in love with old manual lenses. I pretty much shoot with old Minolta lenses 80% of the time. I really feel in love with my Minolta Rokkor 50 f1.4 PG. I think I paid $40 off craigslist. Focus parking on the Nex is sooooo awesome.
