The other night the sunset was just perfect. The air was a red/orange color.
One of the clouds even had a greenish cast to it.
Dina and I went out to watch it with the camera.
These are all basically untouched. I sized them for the web and sharpened after sizing. I didnt touch the colors at all.

Beautiful pics...Is that a Plumeria tree in the first one?

That didn't happen to be Saturday night, did it? ; I was on my computer just after dinner when I noticed the pinkish glow in the backyard...which usually means interesting sky. ; So I went outside for a look, and it was all pink and orange and glowing colors.

That's what I thought...as soon as I saw yours. ; Here was what I saw over here a little earlier in the evening - maybe 7:30-ish (completely ignore my camera's EXIF time...I don't think to check the clock on my ultracompact and it's been off for a while...I need to set it!!):

Re: A Perfect Texas Sunset? Naw.

Tonight it got close but by the time I noticed it, I was too far into my subdivision to get any decent pics.

But here's Lake Travis on 7/3: ; If there had been clouds it probably would have been better.

we had another nice sunset a few days ago. This time I shot in manual and metered off the sky and underexposed a stop.
Used fill flash on the Plumeria. I really need/want to order some gels for my flash!

Those sky colors are real! By underexposing the deep color really comes out.

    Gorgeous Craig, absolutely....

Our skies have been getting browner since nothing is washing away the air. ; Hopefully someone will remember the combination to the air shield and let the rain in sooner rather than later.

Tell me about this thing called moisture. ; I believe I've heard about it somewhere in my 5000 ramblings but I can't remember. ; 8)
