ACDSee launches Beta 2 of Pro 2

    And it's got some improvements, probably related to Vista stuff - like flyouts on mouseover.

    I use acdsee pro for everything. I may be the only guy in the world that thinks this, but I like it better than photoshop. I know its not as capabable, but for me it is easier, and seems to do basic editing fine.

    i use acdsee for viewing but i use cs3 for just about everything else...

    From what I've seen of ACDSee thus far (I'm letting it run through the Image Cataloging wizard right now), is that it is a much more powerful version of the PictureProject software that came with my Nikon.

    What I liked about the PictureProject software was that it allows me to create collections and sets and put pictures into multiple locations. This was helpful when my wife was looking for pictures to print for her scrapbooks. She just needed to put them into a new collection for the project she was working on then copy those to a flash drive to take to Wal-Mart for development.

    It's seeming the ACDSee does this but so-so-so much more. I'll know more later.

    I'm going to have to wait before I dive into PS because it is not cheap
