An Unexpected Meeting

    Several members of TMIP went on the Wild Africa Trek together (Tim, Jeff Dierking, John Wolff) on 8.2.2012 and with the group came an unexpected and, unknown until the very end, special surprise. ; In our group was NASA Legend and Astronaut Hall of Famer Fred Haise from Apollo 13 fame. ; He was gracious enough to share a few laughs and take a few photos with us after the Trek...

    Tim, I was wrong. ; Fred was portrayed by Bill Paxton in the movie "Apollo 13" (& not Gary Sinise).

    It was a very cool experience. ; I wish we would have know earlier because I would have loved for just a brief thought on how that whole experience was.
