I never posted any AK shots yet from my trip last month, so here go a few! ; I figured I'd start with some general scenery around the park - weather was sunny and cool, so quite pleasant for shooting, except for the occasional crowds getting in the way... My favorite river view: Old timey photo of the Savannah, the way the Brits might have photographed it in the late 1800s: Lonely giraffe out on the savannah: Bridge in Asia, from the river: Everest sunset colors: Everest sunset and the crowds in the village below: Last light over the big tree and Flame Tree BBQ across the lake: Tree of Life handheld at night: And now a few snaps of various CMs and characters... Jungle Minnie: A great parade face: The very awesome Burudika band in Harambe: This guy is awesome on various saxophones: Comments, questions, critique welcomed. ; All shots with my DSLR and 18-250mm lens.
Thank you John and Lightslicer! Twas a lovely day - actually perfect weather the entire trip. ; Wish I could get that weather back again down here as it's getting hot again!
Just noticed these... ; you are making that Nex absolutely SING, my man! ; I am so encouraged to bring my Nex-6 on my next trip... whenever that is. ; Great colors!
That band is the one I think it would be worth having a shoot for on AK day - they really are good - music's great, and they put on a show...the saxophone guy is great...he's got 4-5 different saxes he plays, for different sounds.
