This series of photographs of our biggest splash of the week was taken by my wife Sally. My grandsons, Jason, Seth & Benjamin Walters along with myself always try maximize the thrill of any tube ride upon which we happen to be riding. On this ride, the "Dueling Mammoths", at Glacier Canyon resort in the Wisconsin Dells, we simultaneously threw our weights in each curve in the pipe to get the tube rocking from side to side. Our goal at the bottom of the slide is to create the biggest splash possible. We accomplished this almost perfectly on this run when we got the tube to go high on the wall of the half pipe at the end of the ride just before hitting the pool at the end. This works best if the heaviest person (me) is facing backwards so the greatest weight on the leading edge of the tube causes the tube to plunge as deeply as possible into the water of the pool at the end therefore causing a large wave of water and a big splash. These photos document our best effort of the week!
