Nice shots Howie! ; I see the oyster catchers stayed put since I was not there to send them off! ; (And I had nothing to do with the weather!)
I have some skimmers to share. ; Everything else was put on a Nikon D7000 memory card (thanks to Howie's friend) which Howie was nice enough to put on a CD for me. ; We'll be back tomorrow hoping for better weather. All cropped for composition. Nikon D700/80-400VR, 1/1600s, f/5.6, ISO 640, EV +0.3, 400mm FL Nikon D700/80-400VR, 1/1600s, f/5.6, ISO 500, EV +0.3, 400mm FL Nikon D700/80-400VR, 1/1600s, f/5.6, ISO 560, EV +0.3, 400mm FL
nice ones Scott. First time for me this year to get them skimming. was glad they put on a show for you
Thanks, Howie! ; I sure hope I got some of the others as good as yours! Did you catch the skimmers skimming at the same time? ; I only got one or the other.
Really nice shots guys. ; Scott, awesome one of the two skimmers! ; Howie, of course the heron sat close by for you today! ; Not for me yesterday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
your skimmer shot with the 2 of them is better than mine and some of your others are good too. you got some great ones with the oyster catcher with a mussel. thanks John
Thanks guys! ; Howie was a great guide! ; He should charge for this...but not until after tomorrow. Howie sent me one of my oyster catcher shots done with a Nikon D7000/80-400VR combo.
Howie was nice enough to transfer the D7000 images to DVDs since I didn't have a card reader for the D7000 memory cards. ; Here's more from Day 2 of Birdmania. All taken with the Nikon D7000 with 80-400VR lens. Immature Black-crowned Night Heron Black-crowned Night Heron Willet shorebird on boardwalk rail. Clapper Rail after bath time. Osytercatcher on one leg. Skimmer using the D7000 (didn't need as much cropping as the others.)
