These peach colored roses are planted in the Rose Garden area near Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom ; in Orlando.

I was fortunate enough to visit the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 2011, which was the 40th anniversary of the park. To celebrate, I only photographed the park with lenses that are approximately 40 years old as well. This was taken with a Takumar 50mm f1.4. (When I explained my lens choice to my wife, she just shook her head.)

I took a similar shot in October, during my last trip to WDW. That shot was taken with a 50mm Takumar lens. I wanted to try it with an ultra wide angle lens to get a different perspective. This was taken mid afternoon with a polarizing filter to get the sky and clouds to stand out.

Thanks again, guys. I woke up to find out that the latter picture was Explored on Flickr. I'm not sure how or why, but it was totally unexpected.

Congrats on Explore. ; There's no logic to Explore, but your shot is worthy (unlike the one of mine that made it).
