a-ha! They still are trying to get Lucasland. At least you won't need to take a speeder to get access to that section. But Pixar Avenue is still happening.
i think the new name change is an improvement over the disney-pixar studios. more of a ring to it. but now what happens to the vernacular referring to the park as ... MGM?
You know when Disney World released their "Explorer" CD-ROM a long time ago....they referred to the park as "Disney Studios"
I have a feeling it will still be 'MGM' in many people's references for quite some time to come (including my own!). It's hard to kick old habits. I still refer to TTA as the WEDway!
I hope they really try to recreate more of a Hollywood feel. They need to open an after-hours dance club, and have drunk Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton careening through the streets narrowly missing people and getting into fights. They could open a 12-step rehab attraction, where guests have to dry out before their booking in County Court the next day and have to exit the attraction without getting photographed by 50 paparazzi waiting outside. Seriously, I like some of the changes (especially since we're going next year and I'm sick of watching Stars & Motor Cars), but it'll defiantely be at least 10 years before I phase MGM out of my vocabulary. I'm still working on getting rid of "E-Ticket", "Wedway", and wondering where the 20,000 Leagues attraction is.
Is there any truth to that rumour, or is it just wishful thinking by the fans ? Having been to Star Wars Weekends, and being a huge Star Wars fan, I think it would be AWESOME. Especially if they recreated a Cantina Bar. It seems like a natural fit.
Well, either the new Star Tours is the next e-ticket after Toy Story Mania, or they have something else planned...CMs have been told to expect a new e-ticket for 2009.
Well, if Jim Hill is rumbling about, that's pretty solid. I'd love to see it. It would be an overwhelming counterpunch to Universal's 'Harry Potter' land. Nice use of the strikeout, by the way. I'm too lazy to even try. Heck, I still refer to my local ballpark as "Tiger Stadium", even though it's never been anything but Comerica Park.
