Karen and Kailey became very ill last night and i had to call 911 to come pick us up and take us to the Hospital, Once we got there they split us up and Kailey went in one room and Karen went in another one.... After blood work and an IV they released Kailey at 12 noon.

I called Disney and they came and picked us up, Karen has been admitted for 24 hours of observation. The Doc didn't like her blood work.

We are not sure what Kailey got sick but we are about 90% sure Karen got really bad food poison from Magic Kingdom.....

I will post more when I know more and have some time....

Do hang in - that is NOT fun having food poisoning any time, let alone while on vacation. ; Of course, it can happen anytime and any place - sometimes bad luck or a fluke, other times because of the place not being too clean. ; Odds are at Disney, it's just bad luck or a fluke, with the millions they serve a day.

That said, about 5 years ago we had 3 in my party of 5 get very severe food poisoning while up at Disney - most just spent days wretching in the toilet, but one was severe enough that we got very worried and were holding the phone in the hand to call 911 - we only didn't because there was a doctor in the family who was one of the 5 up there, and he was able to quickly diagnose and monitor the situation.

Best of luck on recovery for both.

Well it's day 2 and they still don't know what is wrong ... Karen is getting a little pissed off at the hospital because they are not telling her anything and never come to see her....

We're all hoping for the best...a quick recovery, a simple diagnosis, and out of the hospital soon. ; These things can upset the body's balance a bit and take a few days to bounce back from.
