    Read a lot about cell phones use in WDW.

    Since we will be traveling at least twice a year to WDW I'm thinking about picking up a couple of pay as you go phones on Monday in Florida. I'm not able to spend all day at the parks so I need a way of keeping in contact wit h my wife and girls. We added on US minutes last time for $40 with Rogers but I think buying a couple of pay as you go phones will be cheaper.

    I have it narrowed down to Virgin Mobile and Trac phones.

    Any suggestion, opinions, experience?

    I have used Trac phones the last couple of trips I took to WDW. ; The first time there was no problems, but in December, I wasn't able to call Canada with a Trac phone. ; This wasn't a huge problem for me, as all the calls I was making were of the "where are you? ; meet me at the Primeval Whirl" types, and my friends are American. ;

    Before you commit, check the policies on calling Canada.

    When we are in WDW with our kids.....we text message, there is no fee for doing that and it works out perfectly for keeping in touch! ; ;D

    Too late for you Ham...

    But I cast my vote for Virgin. ; I ordered two air-time packages, which included fre phones from the Virgin USA website... the week before we left. ; The phones were shipped straight to our resort and were waiting for us when we got there.

    There were a few bumps trying to get the phones activated, but... the bottom line is we had two phones and lots of airtime for a grand total of.... ; $21.00.

    The phones weren't the greatest, but they worked fine and kept us in touch with each other when we split up.
