I took my new lens out for a spin last night, and tried to get some HDR shots for the first time. Here's one I have processed so far: For this one, I was going for realism. I'm not a purist, and I also don't like photos that are ridiculously edited either. I'm quite happy with it, and I'm ready to learn more about HDR and improve my skills!
Ahhh, perfect. I didn't do much, just combined multiple exposures using Photomatix, and then some clean up and tone work. Another one just up the path: Higher resolution.
Nicely done Tanner! I usually don't like HDR shots because they look too unrealistic, but these turned out very nice.
Thanks everyone! This is exactly what I was going for. Here's another from that night. Not a blue castle shot, but similar HDR. It's my second home, Expo Hall! The left tree is a little punchy, but I think it still works with the street lamp there. Higher resolution.
