Another oldie - this one from March 2004, with my old 5mp Sony F717. ; I always enjoyed the rooftop views from Contemporary, and sunsets were always the best from up there. ; This particular time, I stuck around a bit past the sunset, to catch those luminescent twilight skies, just after the sun sets, and the deep blues and purples start to take over from the last bits of fiery red and orange. ; With the MK lights below...it's a magical scene:
That is beautiful!!! ; I'm using it as my desktop for my computer. ; All these amazing photos are keeping me mousegeared up for my trip coming up!
Yeah...I'll be jonesing in between, when I get back from this trip and have to wait until Pixelmania for the next visit...over two months away. ; I'll get my mind off the pain by taking a 10-day Caribbean cruise in between. ;
Wow, this is pretty magical. One of these days, I'll be able to stay at the Contemporary and see sunsets like this every night. Oh well, until then I'll just live vicariously through shots like this!
Re: Classic Magic Kingdom rooftop view in twilight This is beautiful. I saved it for a desktop background in two ways. 1 just as it is. And a copy but just cropped to the castle with the sunset sky. ; Thanks for making going to work after the three day weekend a little easier with a nice Disney start!
Life must be rough! Really a great picture. ; Very nice work, Justin (but what took so long to post it?)
Thanks guys. ; Actually, it was one I used to have on my old Disney gallery since before there was a TMIP. ; That gallery I closed when I went to PBase, and lots of my pics from before 2007 never got reposted. ; I'm slowly going through and finding some of those that might be worth bringing back around to repost. Plus, technology has gotten a little better with noise reduction tools and processing, so some shots that were not great by today's standards can at least be cleaned up a bit and made presentable - I'm finding old ISO400 shots taken in 2003 or 2004 that were almost unusable with all the noise and chroma...now I can get them a little cleaner than I could back then, and pull more detail out of them. This one wasn't too bad even back then - just a bit of sky noise...but it was pretty dark and I had to brighten it and try to pull more detail out of the Magic Kingdom lights and buildings.
Great shot Justin! ; The colors in the sky accent the colors from the park beautifully. Nice stretch of trips coming up. ; Can't wait to see the photo's from them, and it will be nice to meet you and all of the others at Pixelmania!
