don't let the sunny sky fool you, the temp at the time this pic was taken was around 4 degrees, wind chill made it minus 10-15, i'd find a subject , hop out of the truck, drop camera onto the tripod, compose and grab the shot, all the while hoping the battery would last long enough and that i could stand exposed fingers and face this is the covered bridge in grafton vermont, next to the cheese company, crosses a branch of the saxton's river, i had been hoping to snowshoe up the hill behind and to the right of this bridge, there are some great classic white church tower and village views from up there, but it was just too cold for that, the shoing would have been ok, but the chilldown while stopping to take pics was not worth the frostbite risk taken with the xti and the 17-55 f/2.8, stopped down to f/8, iso 100, sunny day white balance, tripod mounted gary
nice scenic shot gary. Reminds me of a Currier and Iv's card. I went out yesterday with a bud to the local bird sanctuary to try out my new d80 and man was it cold with that wind blowing so I know what ya mean. When I got home my knuckles started bleeding
now there's something you don't see in southern new jersey.... something interesting. great shot, gary.
