Last trip, I went to Coronado Springs for dinner, and brought my A550 and ultrawide lens for some handheld night shots around the interior and grounds. ; It's such a pretty resort, that I can't help snapping some pics when I'm there! ; Here are some of my favorites from that session (links to 1024x pixel long versions below each photo): Walking up to the entrance, standing in the path of an oncoming bus!: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/121689659/original.jpg The fountain in the lobby: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/121689660/original.jpg The main lobbby/checkin area - love that roof: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/121689661/original.jpg One of my favorite outdoor bars at any resort - the Laguna bar, which has such lovely scenery and comfy chairs: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/121689662/original.jpg Sitting at the Laguna bar, looking down the main building towards Maya Grill: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/121689663/original.jpg The Rix Lounge entrance: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/121689664/original.jpg Love the long hallways and star lamps: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/121689665/original.jpg
You know it James! ; UWAs are fun - I'm finding that to be especially true at Disney. Thanks Jeff...agreed. ; I have only stayed there 3 times, yet I go there virtually every trip to eat at Maya Grill, and always love walking the grounds at night, and stopping off at Laguna for a drink and relaxing in those lakeside lounge chairs.
Nice set- I always fail at the fountain due to people parked there. ; Coronado is a favorite of ours- I love the Maya Grill for breakfast.
Thanks Pixie...lucky you! ; Thanks jeff - I fail at the fountain too - notice it's handheld and somewhat blown out, plus a tight crop? ; That's because it was a quickie shot in between people walking through the background, with no time to properly meter it and set up, and no tripod on hand for long exposure. ; Gotta take what you can get! ;
It is great Craig - usually has at least a handful of people there if not a lot more, those chairs and loveseats are very comfy, and the view and the breeze on the lake are sublime. ; Have a nice meal at Maya Grill, and head there after for a cocktail and a nice conversation...great way to wind down a night.
