We decided to go to Epcot for my birthday. Not only to score my $75 gift card but to take pictures of the Flower and Garden Show. We had a great day! After arriving at WDW, we stopped to get gas BEFORE going to the park. Since Hess took over the stations, it seems gas is always cheaper in WDW than in real life! ; We stopped at the Hess next to Boardwalk and across from the Studios. ; At that point we decided to simply park the car at Boardwalk, sightsee a little there, and walk to the International Gateway. We weren’t sure there would be a ticket booth that could give me the gift card, but if not, we’d ; just exit the park at the front later in the day, and get it up front. Disney, of course has a ticket window at the International Gateway, so we got the gift card with no problem and no wait. ; This makes two free gift cards for Dina and me, and both times handled perfectly and quickly by Disney. The weather was perfect. The past two weeks in Florida have been absolutely amazing, bright blue skies with big puffy clouds that never rain. ; Since we only had one day (actually half day) I decided to stick to just pictures of the Flower Show. I bypassed all other photo opportunities. And there were PLENTY. I could have spent at least an hour in each pavilion and Future World Attraction. The weather made for pretty pictures of big attractions. I tried very hard to get “niceâ€
Most excellent! ; Glad to hear the gift cards can be obtained there too - my mother and I will be headed up in June and she'll be redeeming hers - since we're at the Boardwalk, that makes things very convenient when we arrive. Since you've already done it twice...can you elaborate on precisely on what and where that gift card can be used? ; I registered and printed the confirmation for my mother, but was curious what types of things we might opt to use it for (no food, right?). Glad to hear the backpack's worked out well too - I love mine for sure! ; About as comfortable as it could be, even when loaded with big lenses. I only wish they'd extend F&G 3 or 4 more days for when I get up there.
The gift card is actually pretty easy to figure it out once you get through all the nicety nice legal mumbo jumbo. No food No outside vendors or outside owned stores (arribas...) ANY Disney Owned shop works. The cards never expire, and are used at the register like any other gift card. THey have made getting free gift cards as easy as possible!
my dad and i plan on scoring our gift cards in october. ; good times. happy belated b-day, craigtemporary.
Happy Birthday Craig! ; If you can't get there on your birthday, I assume you are out of luck correct?
Yep...it's birthday or bust! I'm still trying to see if it's worth getting up there for my birthday, which is at the end of November...it would have to be a 1-day off of work on a Monday at the end of November...but may be tough since I've already got that Thu and Fri off for Thanksgiving, and the next week is Pixelmania. ; I may have to miss my b-day gift!
Re: Craig's Birthday & Flower & Garden One Day Tri Cool! Glad you guys had a good time! I tried to talk the fam into going for my birthday (November 15th) and my dads birthday (November 21st). No luck so far. Is 4 times in one year too much?
I wonder if that gift card requirement is specific to this one that they are giving for the AP holders. ; I am in the process of putting money on one for Pixelmania! and I was told that it could be used for anything on property.
Re: Craig's Birthday & Flower & Garden One Day Tri Polynesian, Just get a Chase Visa card and earn Disney Reward points! ; I just changed mine from the 50th anniversary celebration design to Tinkerbell!
Happy Birthday Craig, Sounds like you guys had a Great time. Nice pic of you guys. MS97 - I'm with you on the Disney Chase Visa card. I use the heck out of mine & easily have $300 to $400 to spend every year when we make our trip there.
Add me to the Disney Visa list. ; I use mine primarily to pay for dinner at Jiko every year. ; Since I go 3-4 times a year, and dinners there are comfortably 3-figures...you get the idea how much you can build up!
