So after reading the article that I just posted about cyber shopping and hearing that today (Monday after Thanksgiving) is the biggest cyber shopping day, I am just wondering who all does the internet shopping thing?? ; I would put this as a poll, but right now I must be blind because I can't see where to create one.
I do sometimes.................I find it easier than going to the store and trying to find what I am looking for. Sometimes, I will order online and do in-store pick up, then there are no shipping charges, and I don't have to walk around the store only to find out that the item I want is unavailable...
I do it a few times a year... generally either for items I can't get locally (specialty items, or from stores that aren't in-town), or if I think there's going to be a stock issue in-store. ; A few times I've ordered something from Best Buy or Future Shop for in-store pick up because I've been burned too many times by checking availability online and going to the store only to find that it's out of stock and they don't know where there are more (because their inventory lists are store-specific and not linked except online which is only updated once per day... can you tell this has irritated me a lot? *laugh*). I actually prefer online shopping this time of year because I HATE shopping... and I HATE crowds... so putting the two together makes me get twitchy in a very short amount of time.
I'm with you Treelo. I usually only shop online for things I can't get locally. I hate having to wait for something after I've paid for it. But I did pre order the Pirates movie online so I could pick it up at the store. With the way things went in the UK I'm nervous they will sell out here.
