Dead Cats (No Animals were harmed in the Posting of this Thread)

    Okay, so these aren't really dead cats, but after you see the photos, they sure look like they are...

    Jaguar:

    Pallas's Cat: ; And yes, this is exactly how I found these cats sleeping (at the top of the tree jammed between the top of the cage and the branches). FYI, this is one of the only cat's that has round pupils instead of the typical slitted pupils on cats.

    These are not cats, but found a couple more "Dead" animals while finding the others. ; Would love to see anyone else's "Dead" animal photos...

    Oh, the last one of the Prairie Dog got me laughing. ; Hot days at the zoo tends to get you these amazing "dead" animal shots.

    I was going to label it "SAFE!" originally. ; I have another one of a Prairie Dog sitting down eating lunch, however, he is sitting on the ground like we would (on our butts with our legs out in front of us). ; It was so funny seeing them that day. (and yes, it was a hot summer day in St. Louis and Chicago where these were taken)

    haha!
    one of our shepherds lies on his back like the hyena picture. his lips hang there and all of his teeth and his toungue are hanging out. we call it the road kill position. :)

    You've got some great dead shots! ; I often don't end up photographing the dead animals very often...I pass on them and hunt around for live ones. ; Never thought of actually making a collection of dead animal shots!

    Here's what I've got:

    Well, I don't know if animatronics count...but since they're usually broken and don't move anyway, they'd be dead animatronic animals. ; So here's the very familiar dead animatronic lions at AK that everyone has seen:

    There are definitely days I wish that I could knock off like these guys. ; Especially like the Pallas's Cats in the trees.

    Those lions always seem to be perched up there for unique photo opportunities. I wonder where they pin on their cast member name tags?
