One of my last great untouched realms of photography - it came to my realization that in all my Disney visits, I had not ever devoted time to take night photography around DHS/MGM. ; So on my trip up this September, one of my very first missions, on arrival day, was to check in, grab a bite to eat, then head into DHS for the final hours before close with my tripod and grab some night shots. ; It was a lot of fun, and inspired me to do it again on another trip...I was missing out on some great lighting and structures, and always duly inspired by the lovely shots others here had taken. Armed with my Sony A550, my 18-250mm lens, my tripod, and my wired shutter release, I went night hunting in DHS...here's some of what I shot - all are shot in jpeg, straight from the camera, no processing (as always, hotlinked photo in regulation size is followed by a link to the larger version in my gallery): http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699522/original http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699523/original http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699524/original http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699525/original Finally go to get a 'hat' shot...and I have to deal with a big, ugly HSM3 sign: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699526/original http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699527/original http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699531/original http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699532/original http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/128699533/original Comments, questions, critique welcome as always.
great chineses theater, love how the spotlights line up with the spires, that's something i would probably not have noticed enough to include
Thanks all - much appreciated. ; Gary...it caught my eye last-minute...I seem to remember someone else captured a similar shot, and I wasn't thinking about it - I was just headed for the GMR...then noticed how close they were to lining up...I quickly stopped to get that shot, and try to align it.
