I first noticed this last fall when Disney released Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary edition. The Blu-ray disc also included a regular DVD so that if you didn't yet have a Blu-ray player you would have a copy of SB when you picked one of the new players up. Looks like Disney will make including a DVD feature in certain upcoming Blu-ray releases ; bearing the Combo Pack logo. Click for link to article http://www.digitalhome.ca/content/view/3283/283/ Our current DVD played is done. I've been looking into which way I should head. Buy a Blu-ray player, PS3, DVD Player/Recorder with a hard drive? Lots of choice and I've been doing some research some pundits think that Blu-ray will not be around for long and that movies will be deliver via you home internet connection. I think announcing death of Blu-ray is a bit premature. Any thought or opinions? Realfam what are your thoughts as the resident Home Theatre expert?
I think this is a great idea. I have a Blu-Ray but like having the DVD to watch on portable players or the computer this just makes it easier to enjoy movies.
My basement is now wired for surround sound, thanks Realfam! I would now like some advice from folks on what I should be looking for in a surround sound system.
I too would like to know, we are in the middle of doing our basement. ; We are going to put up a flat screen on the wall and install surround sound etc. ; Any input would be great!
