I noticed something new on my recent trip to Walt Disney World. ; Some stores at the resort were selling a "Disney Gallery CD" containing over 300 pictures they have taken at the resort. I'm curious to hear some thoughts on the CD. ; It was selling for $39.99. ; I was curious, so I picked one up. I was sort of happy to see I have some of the same shots as them! ; Either I'm getting better at this or they just aren't very good ; LOL I was impressed with many of the pictures. ; Some were obviously taken from locations where we aren't able to go. ; Interesting to see shots from angles we aren't able to get. The root directory of the CD contains a 50mb contact sheet in PDF format. ; It's a great way to see thumbnails of the photos in each directory. I was surprised to see few pictures taken in the rides. ; I recall a Big Thunder Mountain picture as well as one from Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. ; I don't recall any others, however. ; I was sort of hoping for a few incredible shots from inside the Haunted Mansion. ; They have a few cool ones of the exterior, though. Imagine the fun of being in Disney Promotions and getting free reign for creative photography inside the parks. I think I'll take a tripod into the Haunted Manson today.... I think I'll shoot Wishes tonight from the roof of the train station.... Sorry I need to ride Everest for a 15th time in a row- I missed the Yeti again.... I need a picture of Mickey Waffles with Butter and Syrup right now- Hurry! I could go on and on...
Jeff, That sounds like a horrible job, doesn't it? ; A couple of weeks ago I rode Expedition Everest as a single rider. ; A maintenance guy sat next to me and explained he is required to ride a few times a day to check the "show elements" of the ride. ; Hmmm, getting paid to ride Expedition Everest....how horrible ; LOL Bob
