Considering the fact copyright is such a sensitive subject where photos are concerrned is there anyone who knows how to go about getting selling stock photographs to Disney. If there is such a thing then can anyone sell to them ? How do you go about it or do they hire their own professional photographers to do the job? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Renaylor
First, welcome to the Boards! No specific knowledge, but I'm sure that if Disney needed a non-Disney stock image, they would use channels to specific agencies, nowadays that are online. Disney has their own photographers on staff. Back when they had the "Disney Magazine" I remember an article written about improving pictures - it was from one of their staff photogs. The Disney Institute when it first came out had a photography course you could take. So I doubt that you could sell Disney pictures of their own...stuff. Building copyrights is still a youngster in terms of copyright law. Pictures of their 'characters' is another thing.
I agree with the above post. I'm sure it's easier for Disney to have one of there Photographers do the job than an outsider. However if it was pictures for lets say Adventures by Disney that you took on one of their tours I think you would have more of a shot than DL or WDW. I know nothing about the business so this is just a guess.
