Would you do Disney with others or keep it to just your intermediate family?

    Experiences, opinions?

    Thank you!

Well we always travel as our immediate family, but I am doing marathon weekend solo with a few friends. ; This will be awesome cause I can go and do what ever my little heart desires ;D ;D
Normally I would say more the merrier, but it doesn't always work that way with Disney and large groups....

Thats what I was thinking. Even just doing reservations and changing my itineary around it a lot of work. Thats not even being there with other families to consider....

I feel selfish to just have my family...but maybe its the best.

Go ahead be selfish, ; keep it to your family and things will go alot smoother. ; I'm not sure if you have been before and the size of your family, but if its your first visit the experience can be overwelming since there is so much to see and can be challenging at the best of times with kids.
Ariel2, ; you have picked a great website to ask questions. ; There is a lot of knowledge here and a number of families that frequent WDW and can answer pretty well anything.

Depends on how many times you have been.....................

The lower the #, then best to keep it Family!

I think it depends who you are travelling with. If we were going with a certain family, we would be fine. We would both want time on our own so we could do stuff as just a family, but there would be other kids the same age to play with back at the hotel/pool/mini golf etc.

We've gone in different groupings - even bringing a non-family member along once (older kids' friend). ; It can get confusing with more people, however it is nice to have enough adults to be able to split up. ; There is always someone that doesn't want to go on a ride that someone else does, so there can be alot of waiting around if you can't split. ; Just make sure you have a way to communicate between groups - it's hard to estimate the time it'll take you to do a certain ride and you want to make sure you meet up again.

We've had wonderful vacations just ourselves and also as an extended family group of 10!
