We will be taking LOTS of photos! ; Whether it is Sean or myself taking them. ; I am sure I could give a camera to Kailey and she would take photos too, only the ones she takes are close up of her face because she like to look at the flash. Highland - I can't wait to compare the two Disneys. ; It should be pretty cool. ; I am very excited to step in the park that Walt Disney walked in!
Well, you are defiantly dedicated Disney fans so contact me if you would like the opportunity to dine at Club 33. I can tell you most anything you need to know about Disneyland. Lots of Disney history at Disneyland. Attractions are very similar to WDW but a few interesting differences.
Wow Mr. Disneyland, that sure is a very generous offer. ; I would love to learn more about the history of Disneyland since it would make the trip even that much more special and make me more determined to get that perfect Disneyland photo, but where to start with the history. ; If you wanted to volunteer any information, you certainly have a listener/reader here!
Well here we go, I am hooked on past attractions. Disney has left behind bits and pieces of long gone attractions as a tribute to what once was. Nature's Wonderland was one of those attractions, replaced by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad the little town of Rainbow Ridge still stands from Rainbow Caverns Mine Train since 1956, then an expansion in 1960 and a new name Nature's Wonderland until 1977. Until just a year ago one little mine train remained parked on the old tracks as a tribute to a great attraction. Rockwork, tracks, tunnels are still there from one of Walt's favourite attractions. Walt's firehouse apartment still basically untouched. Country Bears gone but not forgotten, replaced by Pooh, Melvin, Max & Buff are still there if you know where to look. The chalet from the Skyway hiding in the trees. The Disneyland parking lot was replaced by Disney's California Adventure but hiding in the Indiana Jones attraction you can find a parking lot sign. To me this is Disneyland, a park built in 1955 by a man who wanted the best park he could build and it is still there for us to enjoy. Walt dreamed it, built it, even slept in it and loved it. There are so many little differences unique to Disneyland. Such as the longer pirate ride, you must travel beyond the berm under the Disneyland Railroad tracks to the show building as Disneyland did not have the space for such an attraction. Same thing in the Haunted Mansion but you will Walk under the tracks after you exit the elevator down the long hallway, all this adds to the show. The Disney's rail car the Lilly Belle, after Walt's passing Lilly would ride the rails and knit. Still there to see or ride. The Golden Horseshoe where the Disney's celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary before Disneyland's opening. Be sure to dine in Walt's box at the Horseshoe (stage left) The list goes on. I was lucky enough to ride these long gone attractions and see Wally Boag spit out his teeth as Pecos Bill. Maybe I have one foot stuck in the past or maybe The history of the Disney Company is what separates Disney entertainment from the others. I think history is what makes Disneyland special. I know WDW is bigger with more parks to explore but when exploring Disneyland keep in mind this class of entertainment and quality of the park has been there since 1955 and the first of its kind. Anything you need to know please ask, on or off Disney property I might know. If you take me up on the Club 33 offer you will receive complimentary admission the day you dine. Have a great trip.
If you are able to get us in Club 33 You will be making a lot of dreams and even a couple of Disney bucket lists come true. Oh and Welcome to the Site
As long as Club 33 is not completely booked you are as good as in. Inform me of the date you would like to dine, number of guests, and lunch or dinner. At some point I will need your last name. Your guest passes for Disneyland & California Adventure will be waiting for you at guest relations the day you dine. I am going to recommend lunch as you will have a little one accompanying you. Lunch is casual and the dress code is much more forgiving. As for Dinner there is nothing better than enjoying Fantasmic from the balcony of Club 33 above the crowd, the choice is yours.
Got it now. I sent a reply. Was in Spam, first time that happened. For you Canadian Disneyland Fans next years Canadian Club 33 day / lunch is planned for February 20th 2012. I will figure out how to start a post about it soon. Thanks
I wish I could make it back to Disneyland soon but its so expensive to fly from here an there are no longer direct flights from Buffalo so it will probably be a while until I make it back.
I know how you feel Northern Mouse. We do not have direct flights to L.A. from anywhere in Saskatchewan. We have to connect in Calgary, Denver or Minneapolis. We usually drive to Disneyland but a couple of times we flew Alleygiant out of Billings Montana. A little drive and a little flying was great. We had others in our group that flew with the connections and we had much less total travel time than they did. Four of us flew round trip all fees in for 681.00 for all four of us. Not that I am a cheapskate but the more economical we travel the more often we go. No Alleygiant near you? We have flown Alleygiant to Vegas, Arizona & Disneyland and everything was great.
I'm Really looking forward to going this October. Just waiting on my agent to get back to me to book the resies.
If you go to the Golden Horseshoe make sure to sit in Walt's box. (Stage left.) That is the little booth beside the stage on the right when you are walking in and also the same side where you order your food. When standing on the stage it is to the performers left, (stage left.) Walt always took his guests to that box and it was reserved for him when he was in the park. If someone beats you to it you can dine there in-between the shows as well. We like to take that box and dine early then stay there for the show. I wish I was going to Disneyland, Have fun.
