OK, so the shot sucks and I was WAY ; too far away. ; And this was cropped quite a bit. ; Howie did not even bother with his 500mm lens. ; But I was really excited that it was sitting up there. ; It was there at around 9:45 am, about 12:45 pm and then again at around 3:45 pm. ; All it did was move to the other poles. ; I had to snap a shot since I dont know it I will ever see this again (I hope too in the fall when they come back!)
you will get a pic of one eventually. I have had them within 50 ft but light was horrible but 2 weeks ago my bud had one sitting on top of a tree on the back stretch where the right and then left turn is the heading toward jens trail. I would have been there that day but dog was being groomed. oh well I will keep at it http://www.flickr.com/photos/bkushner/5 ... hotostream
it was a lot closer and of course having the 600 helps. I have serious lens envy now. I need to get back to reality as it ain't gonna happen
Re: Eagle!!!! Sad! After seeing one at Forsyth two weeks ago, we were at the Bronx Zoo last week and came across this one. ; I love a good zoo, but I left this area feeling that this bird should not be caged, that it needs to be out flying. ; I know it may be hurt or unable to be out in the wild, but I felt sad for it.
