Here's a place to put your photos from the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival that aren't attraction- or country-specific. Tinker Bell's butterfly garden is always a great place to spend some time. I may need to rent a macro lens for my next visit. This is a white peacock butterfly. Thinking of spring
I was so intently concentrating on getting the flowers in this shot that I forgot to wait for a monorail to enhance the background. Springtime in Epcot
Remember my first post in this thread, where I mentioned renting a macro lens for my next trip to the Flower & Garden Festival? Well, thanks to our friends at Kingdom Camera Rentals, I did just that. Equipped with the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Micro, my first stop was the butterfly garden. Here's another white peacock butterfly, up close and personal. As you can see, the depth of field is pretty shallow, but the details are pretty sharp. I'd like to play with the lens some more to learn its characteristics, then try again next year. Macro peacock
Here's another shot with the Nikon macro lens. I found this member of the It's Tough to be a Bug chorus between Innoventions East and Imagination. We're pollinators!
Flower & Garden 2016 opened this week. To celebrate, here's a shot from the main topary display from 2013. Grilling at Night
