If any of you had been watching my profile or noticed what I put up on B&S, I decided to go in a different direction for my photography. While I'll still use my D700 for WA and low light stuff, I got something else for telephoto. The moon last night: [attachimg=1] Cropped, JPG only (hadn't had time to read the manual yet), some Dfine. Can of Diet Pepsi: [attachimg=2] Little bit of post processing, some Dfine. Last but not least, a kitty:[nb]An homage to the first thing that is usually photographed when a new toy comes home, can also be a puppy as well.[/nb] [attachimg=3] Little bit of post processing, no Dfine. All of these where taken at 300mm equivalent, f/2.0, handheld with in-body IS. ; Locally someone gave up their E-3 and 150/2 for several hundred less than the cost of the lens brand new; it was actually at my budget from downsizing my Nikon glass. So now there are two Oly shooters in the house. ; (at least) ; But am I the only Olykon? Nice pickup on the camera...going the two-body route! ; Sounds like a nice compact way to get a good telephoto range. Nice cat too - I think that type of cat is most certainly at least some of what my cat is...mine's a mutt stray that I never really knew what breed or breeds she is, but whatever that is, looks an awful lot like my cat!
