I debated going as it was overcast and no sun but while out there the sun broke thru

my first shot of an oyster catcher. unfortunately the light sucked ( this was before the sun broke thru) and there was some grass in the way

 

Great shots Howie! ; That fish is missing a pretty important body part! ; Where is his head?

 

sometimes they eat part of the fish before bringing it back to the nest. I guess they don't want the mate getting it all

 

bringing home the bacon
