I was digging through a box of stuff my dad brought up a few weeks back and I found 3 sleeves of PANA-VIEW slides from WDW that he had bought back in 1985 (Main Street Electric Parade, EPCOT Future World - Nighttime, and Universe of Energy). My question is about what I can do to get them into JPEGs so I can view them on my computer
Awesome Ray...not sure but I believe you will need to scan them via someone like ScanCafe for instance or buying or borrowing a slide scanner.

Nice link Craig! He has every one of my PANA-VUE slides except one EC19-2 (Energy Creation) but has many,many more that I don't have
and for me, those ny 64 worlds fair ones just float my boat, photography started there for me, with a kodak 110 instamatic, given to me by my paternal grandparents, who took me many times to the fair, i still have that camera, kept lovingly in the personals drawer of my dresser, the flash no longer works, even if you could get film and flashcubes, but it brings back many warm family memories, esp of persons long passed on
I bought an el-cheapo Canon flatbed scanner with a built-in slide/film scan function (illuminated lid that can scan 3 slides at a time). ; Works wonders - I don't use it for anything else...was around $70...I still see them around that price on Amazon and such. ; Mine is the 4400 model (no longer made...probably some newer model now). ; That's worth consideration if you think you'll ever need to scan film negatives or slides again...otherwise, probably not worth it.
Or...if you have a good macro lens and a light source you can put the slide on, you can photograph it - most modern DSLRs have sufficient resolution to turn out a respectable final result, even after some edge cropping and touch up. ; I used that method with a few slides before I got my scanner.
There is actually a dedicated slide/negative "camera" now. ; Yeah, it's really a scanner but it has a 5mp camera that takes the pic of the slide/negative for the result....and it is standalone with an SD card. ; It's about the same price as that one flatbed but a lot less space taken up. I have one of those Canon flatbeds, except mine will also do MF.
