just trying out the new nik suite plug ins for lightroom, pretty impressive so far, and i've barely learned how to approach the tools, let alone the finer points, everybody shots the eiffel tower, thought i'd go for the head on french street look

Nice capture and processing Gary, I was amazed at how much light is actually in that area when we were waiting for everyone to gather.

Very nice! ; Cool idea too - and there is a good amount of light there to capture.

If you wanted to pursue perfection, the horizontal lines are leaning just a hair to the left...that's a little niggle though!

nah, the photographers left leg is 1/2 inch shorter than the right, so he never notices the lean until too late, actually i'll leave horizon correction for another learning session with lightroom

No problem. ; I tend to have a natural left lean in my horizons too - though my legs are the same length so I must have some other defect! ; I hook with a golf club too. ; Whaddya gonna do!

the more I look at this, the more I like it. I would love to try this with an upside down grad nd filter to get a longer exposure on the building.

    nice shot Gary!

Actually the more that I look at this the more that it feels as though it has a Haunted Mansion-esque feel to it. ; Nice catch Gary!

I didn't think Haunted Mansion until you mentioned it...but now I can see it.
