Here's another from the same trip. We stopped for a break on a bench next to the pretzel stand in Germany and I wanted to see if I could get the buildings with no heads. Just a touch of work on the luminance levels and some sharpening in RAW fine tuning in Aperture. Again, comments and critique always welcome. Mitch [attachment deleted by admin]
Nice job Mitch. I Love capturing the architecture of World Showcase under various conditions (Time of day or night). Here is the evidence of my passion for this.
Very nice Cooleo! Here's an interesting question. When I look at the picture I uploaded it looks a washed out, but when I click on it I get a slightly larger version that has the adjustments that made. I know at least one of you fine folks knows the answer, care to enlighten me?
I think it may just be a combination of your monitor playing a trick on you. It look OK to me even at the smaller size.
It is probably a monitor trick - the smaller size version is 'compressing' your shot for display, so it may lose a bit of the crispness and will get jagged diagonal lines and such...that could make the color look less sharp too. Nice shot - and good patience. ; I have sat on those same benches, and waited very very patiently for a break in the crowd long enough to shoot without any people in the way: It took forever...but I'm usually in no rush. ; Still, you can already see the shadow of another person about to break the frame!
