Giraffe Born At Animal Kingdom Apr 5, 2007 Central Florida News 13 - The birth of a baby giraffe at the Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort Monday was cause for celebration at the park. The six-foot-one inch, 150 pound giraffe was born Monday. She’s the fifth giraffe born at Disney's Animal kingdom. The new baby girl, named Rori, and her mother Nikki, are both doing fine and will be on the Disney savannah with the rest of the herd in the next few weeks.
They're putting her out on the savannah in a few weeks??? ; When we were there they had just put the last baby giraffe out on the savannah... at about 3 months old. Of course, there wasn't much of a herd at AK, either... just 3 (mom, dad, and baby)... I think there may be a larger group at AKL, though. In any case... baby giraffes are so cute!
