she died about 12 yrs ago but still has a place in my heart. She adored children and would protect them when they were around her even from there own parents. Once while watching tv a baby cried in the show and she went nuts running around the house and whining trying to find the crying baby.If someone brought there child over she hung with that kid like she was glued to it. And was a natural watch dog as no one could get in the house or the yard if no one was home but she would let a child in the yard and would never hurt a child. Neighbors would beg us to let them watch her if we were going away on vacation. If she was outside with us and a neighbor was getting in there car to go to the store if they weren't fast enough she would jump in there car and she would not get out untill she got a ride. She was one incredible dog and I was truly blessed to have adopted such a great animal
she was a real sweetie for sure Tim. she would have been Billy's best friend. Kids would knock on our door and ask if sheba could come out and play with them. She would cry at the door if she saw kids playing as she wanted to be with them. At the same time she was an incredible watch dog. She was so damn smart
beautiful girl, HW. Shepherds are impossible to replace, We just keep getting different ones with their own great strengths and personalities, but they all have more love and smarts than you could ever expect.
yea they are one well rounded breed for sure. I watched a show sometime back about the breed and they really need human contact and thrive on it. I remember seeing the only one that ever won Westminster and appeared on Letterman. His name was Manhattan and I believe it was 1987. He also won best in group in 1984 and 1986. The handlers last name is moses and he still shows them at Westminster and I think Eucanuba
