A month ago I took some beautiful wave photos from this beach. ; Last weekend there was waves and waves of green algae coming ashore. ; I don't know why people were swimming in it. ; Yuck! For more about the green glop, click the photo.
Yep...algae or tar...I'd take algae! ; *knocking on wood* so far our beaches haven't been tarred yet, though it seems rather inevitable with as much oil is currently floating around out there, and as much more as keeps coming out, that our little loop current is going to eventually drag it through the keys and up the east coast of Florida. Still, algae isn't pleasant either, compared to nice clean water! Though I must say, your title of the thread just naturally drew me right in and made me beam with college pride![nb]My alma mater is Tulane University.[/nb] ;
LOL Justin! ; I thought of that after I posted it but thought I'd keep it. I kept thinking this is what the oil must look like in a different color and a lot more toxic. ; Here's a close up of the glop that went on for miles up the eastern Lake Ontario coast.
