This has been around for a very long time but I just found out about it: http://mesaverdetimes.blogspot.in Apparently two locals in 1998/1999 decided to document as much as they could about Horizons....by exiting the ride vehicles and taking video/pictures...unauthorized of course. I'm still going through the site. One of the two recently died from cancer.
Yeah, it's incredible what they were able to pull off. Today none of that would be possible. In a related note, one of the guys on the Retro WDW podcast was discussing dropping off tape recorders on rides and picking them up later to capture the ride audio loops.
