  1. This Fall/Winter the popular host from the Food Network, Guy Fieri, went on tour with a rock n' roll roadshow featuring food. ; Guy came to Chicago and I was able to get tickets for my Dad's birthday - for the night before we left for Florida! ; The quality isnt great since I snuck in my A630 (wasnt sure how theyd feel about my DSLR). ; There was a sign about photography but EVERYONE was taking pictures. ; Enjoy!

    Pretty good considering these were taken with like 12x digital zoom from the balcony with my Canon A630.

    Nice shots.

    I know what you mean about the "No Photo" rule. ; These days, in any venue, people are taking all kinds of photos with their cell phone cams, or smallish point and shoots. ; Heck, my daughter even puts her Canon G10 in her purse. ; None of the ushers really cares about people taking pictures with these smaller cameras, but, if you try to haul in your DSLR -- you'll be treated like a criminal. ; I think the venues/artists/promoters need to get with the times.

    Regards,

    Boris

    There was an article on CNet.com (I think) talking about just this and was showing how close to DSLR quality many of these "approved" cameras are. ; I'm worried about the day when the saturation of dSLR cameras as people's primary equipment is so high and everyone is banned from taking them everywhere.

    When I went to China to bring back my son, high-end dSLR cameras were slung around many of the locals' necks

  5. My sister and I noticed at Disney how many people were carrying out DSLRs as compared to a year ago. Now it seemed like many people had the kit lens and thats it but still! ;
