Ham Ham's Hamster Horde Holiday

We're off to Buffalo later this afternoon. An evening at the Sleep Inn and at 7:00 tomorrow morning we're off to WDW. I'll try an update as often as possible while on the trip.


Here's the Ham Ham Horde plans for the next 10 days.

The Ham Ham Horde consists of

• 1 Studio

Depart AKL in rental cars for MCO @ 7:55
Aug 29 ;AirTran 09:57 Flight to BUF

I really need to go on another trip

 

Thanks for all the good wishes. Arrived at Sleep Inn no cookies. Hopefully they'll be back on the menu when Realfam hits here next week.

Drive down was painless. Left Mississauga at 18:15 and we were in Walmart in NF, NY by 19:30.

Ordered some pizza, activated 2 Net 10 phones and my Virgin Mobile phone.

I'll try and update tomorrow at some point. If not you won't hear from me until Sunday from AKV with my free DVC Wifi.

Thursday is Charlie's 2nd B'day. We bought him a burger from MAcDonalds before we left.

You have to be quick in getting them! They don't last too long after they put them out!

 

I believe the cookies at the Sleep Inn come out at 7pm/ ; My DW hunts them down!
Whats with all the phones?

 

3 families - 3 phones

Only way to find someone if you loose them!

 

That's the phone I got on my last trip doesn't have roaming so I lost the remaining minutes when I returnred. I thought I could use them here until they ran out of minutes. I'm looking for a different phone/service when I go back down. I think Virgin has phones that can be used in Canada.

 

I use a TracFone and it's strictly for the US and I can call to Canada but it's a pain since you have to dial an 800 # then the number you want!

If you find out which phone it is that works here too, let us know!

 

hey there - just back from Newfoundland. ; How did/ is your trip going?

 

Hi folks borrowing someones laptop just to say hi.

Went to Magic Kingdom on Friday. Our party was evacuated from Pirates and Thunder Mountain.

More info tomorrow once we get to AKV.

It is a nightmare trying to get the Net10 phones activated so the other families can call back to Canada.

Thursday

The phone rang at 4:45 a.m. we dragged ourselves form the comfy covers at the Sleep Inn in Buffalo an headed down for breakfast and the shuttle to the airport. Plane departed on time, we enjoyed the DirecTV on the JEt Blue flight. Less than an hour after landing we were in the lobby at All Star Movies.

Rooms weren't ready so we went for a swim then climbed on the bus to head to Chef's Mickey's. After the character meal it was back to ASMO.











Friday morning the horde were off to MK. Things started off well hardly any lines at the attractions, lunch at the Crystal Palace. After lunch we went to Pirates of the Carribean. The boat we were in was riding rough then stopped. Lights went on CM's scurried about. AFter 20 minutes we were instructed to climp out of the boats walk along a tiny edge then through a rock door and were outside in the back of the building. CM handed us a fast pass for use later.

A few more rides then back to the resort at 3:00 p.m. for a swim and some rest. ;8 o'clock on a bus back to MK. at 11:30 DD 10 & I had had enough and headed back to our rooms. There were EMH that evening until 2:00 a.m.

Next morning DD described how Thunder Mountain broke down and again they had to make their way off the ride by foot.





Early Saturday another DH and I headed over to pick up our cars at DTD. We arrived expecting to rent two cars but the woman at Budget offered us a 12 seater van. We went for it returned to ASMO then the gang were off to Bradenton to spend the day at another DH's sister. BBQ lunch, beach and then strip loin for dinner. We return to ASMO Sunday morning at 1:30 a.m.

I dropped the horde off then parked the van. Upon returning to my room the DH informed me that the evelvator got stuck for a free minutes until a CM freed them.





Sunday time to say good bye to ASMO and hello to AKV. Off to EPCOT for a 2:20 table service at Tutto at Italy in the world showcase. The food was scrumptious. We packed in the EPCOT must sees, Soarin, Test TRAck and Nemo.

DW is part of the Mom's CLub and there was a special reception beside the Canada where we were served Micky Bars, soft drinks, water and dessert once that was done we were escorted to a private viewing area for illuminations.

















Today, Monday, we just hung around the resort and swam. One of the families headed off to AK.

 

Glad to hear everyone is surviving... depite the challenges!

AKV looks great. ; As for the food... (insert large sigh here) it looks great.

 

Wow! ; Great pics!!!! ; Sounds like quite the adventure.... ; Keep it coming... and plans for the horde to head to Boma (yum yum)
