Hello everyone! Posted here are three photos of art I recently purchased from a yard sale. The guy said he bought these at the opening of MGM studios. I am afraid to take them out of the frame as they are professionally framed and matted and I do not want to remove them without having a place to store them safely. I have not been able to find any other artwork like them online. Any information about them would be nice! Thanks!
It looks like they might be modeled after one of the Fantasia movies (maybe the reimagined one in 2000?)
Are you able to post a better pic that is a close up of the logo and text at the bottom of the print? That might help track it down better. Also, what are the size of these prints? 8x10? 11x17? 27x40?
I will try to post better pictures tonight when I get home. They actually say fantasia 1940 to the bottom left of the pictures. They also say disney animation studio. I'm not sure what their exact size is, but I would say 8x10. I believe that they were drawn by the animators in MGM when there was an animation studio in Orlando. The only other piece of artwork I've found similar online is this one: http://m.ebay.com/itm/251075483592?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
That info helped a lot... Found them on eBay as a set of three prints called the "Disney Fantasia Portfolio: Dewdrop Fairies". Other than eBay, I could not find them elsewhere using Google. The set... The info... Current eBay Auction...
