    Day 1

Left home at 3:00am in a blinding snowstorm. We drove several hours before getting out of the snow (near Syracuse, NY.)

The snow line was at southern Pennsylvania, but it was still chilly.

We arrived at Richmond, Virginia around 6:00pm and went for dinner with friends.

    Day 2

Continuing southbound with a side trip to Myrtle Beach... just because!
    Overnight near the SC/Georgia border.

    Day 3

Finally arrived at Coronado Springs Resort.
Check-in was a breeze. ; We did not get our requested area, but the castmember told us that a convention crew would be having a beach party into the wee hours.
We stayed in the Casitas section. ; Beatiful room with a great view of the lake. We were close to a quiet pool and a short walk from the main building.

Time for a trip to DTD... with a "cheap" dinner... four hotdogs=$17.00!!!!

    Day 4

Magic Kindom for the rope drop.
Straight to Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Pirates. ; No lines!!!
Then over to the Haunted Mansion, the Tiki Room, Small World and over to Tomorrow Land.
Rides in the race cars, Tomorrowland Transportation System, the Laugh Floor (great show and of course I got singled out) and Buzz Lightyear.

We stopped to try the sword in the stone... and DS pulled it out!!! ; A cast member presented him with a Year Of A Million Dreams Certificate, delcaring he was "prince for a day".

Then, back to CSR for a swim.

    Day 5
Early morning trip to Animal Kingdom for the Safari. ; Lots of animals and lots of fun. ; Then it was the Kali River Rapids (where DD got totally soaked) and then lunch at the Yak & Yeti (very yummy).

DS, DD and I then lined up for Expedition Everest. ; DD (11) got quite upset when she found out I would have to ride with DS (7). ; She bailed out. ; DS was nervous... and finally asked "will this be any more scary than Splash Mountain???" ; At this point, I explained the ride again and we both bailed... never to return. ;

Off we went to Disnosaur (even DW rode it) and it was fun. ; DD got a little scared.

    Day 6

Early morning at Disney Hollywood Studios. ; It was straight to Tower of Terror for DS, DD and me. ; What a blast. ; DS loved it, so we went again. ; Then it was over to Rockin' Rollercoaster. ; DS bailed at the last minute and DD and I had to line up again. ; It is now her favourite ride. ; (DS went on to bail one more time, then decided to go for it... and he totally loved it.

DS went for Jedi training. ; Man, I wish I was a kid!!! ; Then on to Star Tours. ; We also hit the Great Movie Ride (ho hum).

Back to MK that night for fireworks. ; We were walking along, when a male cast member said "hi". ; I'll chat with anyone so we started talking. ; He asked if we were staying for the fireworks, to which I said yes. ; He then asked if I had heard of the Year of a Million Dream!!!! ; Well, off we went for VIP viewing of the fireworks with another family from Ontario!!!!!

    Day 7

Off we go to Epcot. ; Straight to Test Track and Mission Space (we even convinced DW to go on the green version). ; Then it was off to Soarin', where we encountered our longest lines and waits of the week. ; It was fun, but definitely not a new favourite. ; We also rode the clamshells with Nemo (yawn).

    Day 8

Shopping at the Premium Outlet Mall. ; Sure, the prices are cheaper at the Character outlet, that just means you can buy more stuff!!!

Then back to Disney Studios for a chilly performance of Fantasmic. ; I had always wanted to see this show, and I was NOT disappointed! ; What a great show.

    Day 9
Back to Animal Kingdom for Festival of the Lion King. ; Another great show. ; Then back to the Kali River Rapids for the kids and I, followed by an autograph session at Camp Minnie-Mickey.

Then a day by the pool!!!

    Day 10

Dad and the kids head to Disney Studios for another round of Tower of Terror and Rockin' Rollercoaster and then MK for another ride on Buzz Lightyear.

    Day 11

Typhoon Lagoon. ; What a blast. ; Lots of fun in the wave pool. ; The kids and I even did the Storm Slides and Humunga Kowabunga (what a wedgie!!!!)

    Day 12

Seaworld. ; Highlights were the Dolphin backstage tour, feeding the rays, Shamu and the actual dolphin show. ; It was verrrrry easy to spend the whole day here.

    Day 13

Cocoa Beach. ; The ocean seemed a little cold at first, but we all had great fun playing in the waves.

    Day 14

Kennedy Space Centre. ; Just the kids and I headed over. ; We upgraded for the more in depth tour and did not regret it! ; We were out to the shuttle launch pads, the vehicle assembly building... and so much more. ; We also rode the new shuttle launch simulator. ; It was great. ; Even if you don't like Mission Space, you will like this. ; It shakes you around, but there is no centrifuge action.

Day 15.... ; the trip home begins....

    A few of the days may have been a little confused, as I didn't take notes as I had planned to. ;

Let me know if you have any questions!!!

Wow, sounds like you guys had a fantastic time!

It's too bad that your DD bailed out on EE, but was able to ride RnR. ; IMHO RnR is MUCH worse.

Oh wow, VIP viewing of Illuminations? ; Your son got to be prince for the day? ; Sounds like YOAMD worked really well for you.

Glad to hear you had such a great time. ; I bet it was much better than putting up with all the snow that was in your area when you got back.
