I was wondering if anyone has had dinner at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. I'm thinking of taking someone there after we see the Cirque show. Looking at the website, I don't quite get what kind of music they have for the restaurant. It looks like they have a separate hall for music acts that they sell tickets for, but I see also mention of live music. Is there a separate area for that, or is there a stage with people eating dinner listening to live bands? Erich
There are usually several different forms of music going on. ; The part of the facility where they sell tickets is a dedicated concert facility, unrelated to the restaurant, so don't even worry about that section. ; Within the restaurant itself, they have a main stage where they'll occasionally have bands playing while you eat. ; It depends on the schedule of acts in the restaurant - sometimes you'll just have piped in rock and blues, other times there will be a live act. ; Live acts are usually ranging from classic rock, folk rock, blues and blues rock, and occasional forays into harder jazz. ; The music is primarily blues-inspired rock and some straight blues piped in over the speaker system (at a moderate level allowing for conversations) when there's not a live act. Also, the outside patio seating area, when opened, often has their own seperate musical act - usually a one-man show - guitarist/singer type stuff...also dependent on the schedule - some days they have someone out there, other days not.

Thanks for the info. We'll be there on a Friday night, so I assume they'll have some sort of live music. Their Sunday Gospel brunch looks kinda interesting too. Erich
They almost always have someone playing live on Friday and Saturday nights inside the restaurant. ; Seating might be a little more of a challenge, but it is a great place to eat. ; My son and I will go here when we are having our dudes night out because we are frequently right across the way at Disney Quest.
Yeh, I made a dinner reservation, and the lady I talked to said that Fridays there is live music outside from 6:30 to 11 PM, and inside the music starts at 10:30 PM. Erich
