I still would like to know where they are going to fit a 5000 sq ft home in Tomorrowland. The original stood at where Buzz Lightyear and Ariel's Grotto now stand.
I always liked those "house of tomorrow" type attractions. The only problem is that the "house of tomorrow" quickly becomes the "house of Today". That means they must constantly keep updating it or it because a joke
My problem is that a lot of the house of tomorrow concepts seem like jokes to me. Knowing that this thing will be Sponsored by Microsoft only makes me more skeptical, MS's signature is to invent new things and try to convince the rest of the world that they need it, instead of catering to real needs. I'm a big futurist, I often think about how I'd futurize a house. The thing is, the technology exists NOW. But even the rich have largely spurned the concept, people just don't want the ideas that are out there. The trick is not to design it at all, the trick is to make it work for people. A closet that picks out your clothes for you or a counter that knows what you put on it seem like poor ideas to me. Even the idea of a kitchen that knows how much of each item you have in stock and warns you when you're low is a difficult concept to pull off, it's too many new concepts trying to be integrated into something that people have done the same way for decades.
