i want to bang on the drum all day, with apologies to todd, here's a couple from last weekend, was up in vermont all week, last saturday night the green mountain festival series had the burlington taiko troupe play at green mountain high school in chester vt, taiko drumming is really cool. lot's of complicated and hypnotic rhythms, large variety of different drums, very powerful stuff, and very visually appealing, very graceful choreographed movements, particularly around the largest drums, here are a couple during the ensemble piece with the oke-daiko drum as the centerpiece [attachment=1] second shot has a little of the drummer movements in it [attachment=2] [attachment deleted by admin]
nice work Gary! I really like the motion blur on the sticks on the second one... it really gives it a sense of motion.
