  1. So I got busted by Tim, wanting to know where I've been. But I have a good excuse! I've been busy! I'm now an official Floridian! (woohoo! ; - 58 miles to Disney!). ; Want to know what I've been up to? Check out these pics! After a 1200 mile drive over two days we arrived in Florida on New Years Eve.

A week later, I headed for Disney and participated in my very first 5k during my very first Marathon weekend!

Then two weeks later I ran another 5k...definitely not as much fun

Went back to Disney for another 5k for Princess Weekend...you can say we got into a little bit :)

Spent Valentine's Day week at a family friend's condo on Marco Island

and saw my first gator on my first airboat ride

2 weeks later I was back in Disney for "One More Disney Day" - no not for the whole thing. We literally left home at 2 AM and stayed until the end.

Hey! Welcome to Florida!!!! Sorry I never answered your question on Facebook. If I remember correctly they told you your room was used for a commercial. I'm not really sure if that's true or not. One thing I have figured out, is that there are very few rooms that face the mk in each category.

Tim, I hope you're not going to make living in Florida a requisite to be a member on TMIP. ; ;D ; Good to see you around again Katie. Nice pics.

No worries Leo - you're in by default. ; You live close enough to drive, and you have unbelievable heat and humidity, lots of bugs, swamps, alligators, and hurricanes. ; You're an honorary Floridian!

LOL, not exactly a Chamber of Commerce description of Florida, but accurate! :D

Good to know Justin, I was beginning to worry for just a minute. ; ;D ; Amazing how remarkably similar Florida & Louisiana really are.

  13. No problem. Still no luck finding the alleged commercial. ; What I do know is that at Doorway to Dreams at the mall in Chicago, the model room is still decorated like BLT. The back wall off the "balcony" is a beautiful MK view. ; I wonder if that's what she meant. ; No matter, not complaining I LOVE IT THERE!

Heading to unfamiliar territory next weekend - AKL!

I have found (at BLT) that even some standard view rooms have a great view of MK. ; All you have to do is stand at a bit of an angle on the balcony. ; Anyway, AKL is one of my favorite resorts. ; There are tons of subjects to photograph. ; Just be sure to head to the firepit for storytime (even though it is a "scheduled" event, it doesn't always happen unles you ask the student cast member to tell you a story). ; Have tons of fun.
