Strange - they're still trying to figure out which name to commit to in the US I guess. ; The GR moniker is clearly a Ricoh name, but Ricoh is unknown in the US - so I guess they could just make the very same camera, and call it a Pentax here. ; Or maybe they'll eventually combine the names worldwide - which wouldn't be a first for Pentax - I still remember the Asahi/Pentax labeled cameras back in the 70s. ; Or as Minolta did when they combined with Konica and used the combined Konica Minolta name. ; Question would be whether they'd be called Ricoh-Pentax, or Pentax-Ricoh? ; Do Pentax compacts start using Ricoh naming, do Pentax DSLRs start getting Ricoh cobranding? ; Or do they stick with Pentax in the US, and Ricoh elsewhere? Anyway - interesting camera - looks like competition that slots in between Sony RX100 and RX1, and competes with Canon GX1 and Nikon Coolpix A directly.
