    Ok, with this much snow that is falling, it has got to be close to December which means Disney Trip!!! ;

    Well I guess not, but man are we ever getting snowed in here. ; In the 5 years we have been in Calgary, I have not seen this much snow fall. ; There is at least 12 inches if not more on the ground and it has all accumulated since 5:30 this morning. ; The snow is up to the bottom of cars. ; My drive into work wasn't too bad since I always leave early. ; I was about 10 minutes later, but a lot of people didn't make it into work on time. ; There is a thick layer of snow on the sad looking poplar trees as well. ; I love this snow and would love to be outside making a snowman right now since we rarely get wet snow like this either. ; I am hoping that someone in the office takes pictures since I don't have a camera. ; It will be gone soon after it stops too since it is warm outside.

    Don't put the snowboard away yet.
    The last of our snow melted on the week-end.
    Drive safe.

    I still have a little snow left on the property. We saw a few records in the Toronto area this year. Drive safe it should all be gone by the end of the weekend.

    Yup saw the whole bunch. I liked the one of the motorcycle covered with snow. It really told the story of how people though spring was here and they were caught by surprise. I almost used the one of the guys smoking.

    Those photos were a unique look at the day. That's what a photographer or cameraman/woman should do. Look for the quirky and original way to tell the story that has been told many times before.

    Shots of traffic or people sleeping on the chairs at the airport are so predictable, but sometimes with the tight deadlines they work under they have no choice.

    Here's a classic. Gas prices go up, the media heads for the gas station to talk with people filling up their giant SUV's. Stating how crazy the prices are, they're going drive less, cancel vacations, take the bus etc

    A interesting spin might be to see how increase fuel charges are effecting people in an different ways.  Start the story off with a montage of a florist preparing an arrangement then go on to explain how the fuel impact will trickle down to the consumer, then head over to the transportation co-ordinator at a large school board on how the increase will force them to cancel field trips or pass the cost on the students, wrap the story up at a company that installs propane tanks in vehicles like taxis & couriers and how the jump in fuel benefits them.
