I chronicled the problem I had with my less than 6 month old Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens in a thread by Craig here --> http://www.themagicinpixels.com/forum/h ... ?t=3 ; In short, I found the lens stopped auto-focusing when I went to use it at WDW. I contacted Tokina's US repair office in the US and was told to send the lens to a different address than the one given on the warranty card as they had recently moved. ; I was also told to send copies of the warranty card (front and back), sales invoice and a letter documenting the problem. ; Make sure you always call any company's Customer Service before sending stuff in for warranty. ; If I had followed the instructions given on the warranty card, I would have sent it to the wrong address and sent the original warranty card and invoice. I sent it Priority Mail on April 1st and I received the lens back today (April 14) which I think is an excellent turn around. ; The documentation indicates they got the lens on April 6th and fixed the focusing mechanism the next day. ; The lens auto-focuses again on my camera! ; ; Though I wasn't thrilled that it stopped working, I am happy of how quickly Tokina got the lens fixed. ; Hopefully, it will work without an issue for a long, long time.
